An Apple reseller advertises the M2 Mac mini and Mac mini tower

B&H Photo, an Apple-approved reseller, sparked some speculation this morning about new material we could see during Apple’s keynote address at WWDC on Monday, in addition to iOS 16, macOS 13 and other software updates. The reseller has created booking product pages for an unreleased M2 Mac mini (the M1 Mac mini was introduced in October 2020) and a seemingly brand new “Mac small tower” product, which may be a reference to Apple’s upcoming Silicon Mac Pro.

Of course, all of this is likely to be a huge fake. The listings of Apple’s authorized resellers are often inaccurate. In general, Apple hides information about its announcements from third parties until the end of the event. Retailers have in the past built reservation sites for various Apple products that were never implemented.

However, many people believe that Apple will announce the M2 processor on Monday, starting the next stage of Apple silicon.

The M2 Mac mini is coming to WWDC 2022 next to the Mac mini tower

According 9 in 5 mac, this will definitely be found in a next generation MacBook Air, which will also have a refreshed case and new color options. An upgraded Mac mini with specifications, on the other hand, is not a huge leap. Compared to the M1, the M2 processor will include more GPU cores and will use the CPU and GPU kernel architectures found on the iPhone 13 A15 chip, resulting in a 10% performance boost and significant battery performance gains.

The M1 Pro microprocessor appears to be used on the Mac mini tower, according to the product list. This is probably another sign that the data has been falsified or is simply misleading. There have been reports that Apple was working on a Mac mini upgrade with an M1 Pro CPU, but who knows what the “tower” refers to.

The most anticipated event on Monday is the presentation of a new Mac Pro. At least, a sneak peek at the new machine and some technical specifications. Indeed, Apple hinted at the existence of the new Mac Pro at the end of its launch in March, saying: “This leaves just one more product to be released: the Mac Pro, but this is for another day.” The Apple Silicon Mac Pro will not be available until the end of the year.

The World Wide Web Developers Conference (WWDC) starts Monday at 10 a.m. in the Pacific. Apple will announce major improvements across all of its software platforms. including iOS 16, macOS 13, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9 and tvOS 16, in addition to the new Mac hardware.

Apple’s first personal event after COVID is WWDC 2022. with journalists and the press invited to watch key videos on campus at Apple Park. 9to5Mac will have full coverage of all announcements.
