Google Chrome continues to improve, and this time it is the download menu that is affected. Mountain View is working on a new user interface that wants to make our lives easier.
It’s been a few months since Google worked on the Chrome interface. From now on, it will be easier to go and see the downloads compared to the traditional Control + J. Indeed, an icon will appear to the right of the URL. Just click on it to see the files you have downloaded to your computer.
There is an even better one feature: by opening this window, you will be able to pick up a downloaded file and drag it elsewhere. Relatively simple. You do not need to bring them directly from the special folder. It will not drastically change your life, but it will save you a few precious seconds, especially if you are the guy who downloads a lot of pictures. All you have to do is drag them from the new Chrome download interface to your computer or directly to Photoshop.
Google Chrome will make downloads even easier
This innovation seems so obvious, but it is still not included in Chrome. Currently only available in the latest Canary update. so it will take a few weeks or even months for it to be available to all users. In any case, it is interesting to see that Google is finally improving the download part of its browser, which remains archaic compared to the rest.
Therefore, Chrome continues to improve over time. Google brings new features with small touches, such as blocking intrusive alerts. automatically change the hacked passwords or even better prevent fraudulent sites. It’s a chore, as Chrome is now the most widely used web browser on the planet with a market share of 64%. The second, Safari, peaks at 19%, while Edge, Microsoft’s Chromium-based browser, struggles to surpass 4%.
