At the I / O 2022 developer conference on May 12, Google previewed a range of hardware products, including a new generation of flagship models, the Google Pixel 7 series. The series will be official later this fall. According to reports, the Google Pixel 7 will support a 1080 × 2400 screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. However, the Google Pixel 7 Pro has a screen resolution of 1440 × 3120 with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Well, this is exactly the same as last year’s Google Pixel 6/6 Pro screen.

Google Pixel 7 Pro

The information comes from the Android open source project, and 9to5Google has found that Google has developed two new screen drivers, one for the C10 and one for the P10. This is also in line with the Pixel 7 series codename. The Google Pixel 7 codename is Cheetah while the Pixel 7 Pro is codenamed Panther.

The code shows that the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro actually use the same Samsung panels as the previous generation. Both smartphones come with S6E3FC3 and S6E3HC3 model numbers, respectively.

However, Google is also working hard to support the S6E3HC4, which should be the next-generation version of the Pixel 6 Pro panel that could eventually appear on the Pixel 7 Pro. Given that the resolution and refresh rate of the new smartphone remain the same, the improvement can be in terms of quality, brightness, power consumption, etc.

In addition, the Google Pixel 7 will be slightly smaller than the Pixel 6. It will have respectively smaller screen panels, 1mm narrower and 2mm shorter. Meanwhile, the Pixel 7 Pro is the same size as the Pixel 6 Pro, with the same screen.

Google Pixel Specifications 7

According to reports, the Google The Pixel 7 will use a 6.3-inch screen while the Pixel 7 will use a 6.7-inch screen. Both smartphones will have an OLED screen that supports a high refresh rate of 120Hz. Additionally, the biggest feature is that Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are pre-installed with the Android 13 operating system from the factory. Therefore, it will be the first Android 13 flagship in the world to receive FCC certification.

Under the hood, the Pixel 7 series will come with the second generation Tensor chip, which is undoubtedly even better and faster than its predecessor. This device could be available with up to 12 GB of RAM and there will probably be a choice of 128 GB and 256 GB of storage.

Of course, the Pixel 7 Pro will not only use a new processor but will also use new software. Work is now underway for Android 13. This new operating system will debut in the Pixel 7 series. Battery capacity and charging options are not yet available. The current Pro model has a 5,000 mAh battery that provides long battery life. Charging is quite slow, the device offers support for fast 23W charging.
