Nothing’s first Android smartphone The Nothing Phone 1 will hit the global market on July 12, 2022. The company has confirmed that Nothing Phone 1 will not be produced locally in India. The Nothing Phone 1 sold in India will be produced in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. This confirmation comes from the Vice President and General Manager of Nothing, Manu Sharma.

Manu said Nothing Phone 1 was the “real” beginning of the brand’s journey. For this reason, it makes sense for Nothing to build the Nothing Phone 1 locally. Given the importance of the Indian market for the brand, it is a good move. It further confirms that Nothing is expanding its customer support in India more than 270 service centers in more than 250 cities across the country. With this, the company grows consumer confidence.

However, a burglar, Mukul Sharma reveals that although the smartphone will be manufactured in Tamil Nadu, the batteries will come from China. The Nothing Phone1 will feature a 6.55-inch FHD + OLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Under the hood, this device will use a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. In the camera section, this mid-range smartphone will feature a 50 megapixel main camera. To keep the lights on there will be a decent 4500 mAh battery that supports fast 45 W charging via a USB Type-C charging port.

From the renders of this smartphone, it has a metal frame (and the antenna strip on top) that surrounds the device. The bezel appears to have a flat-angle design, which means that the Nothing Phone 1 will be at least a mid-range device and above. The image also shows the camera model on the top left of the back of this smartphone. This is in line with the performance of the device. From previous reports and a teaser image of this smartphone, it seems that the Nothing Phone 1 will be accompanied by a transparent back case.
