It is worth noting that according to the latest statistics, Realme was the only company to increase smartphone sales and market share in the European market in the first three quarters of this year. Recently, Canalys analysts assessed the European smartphone market in the first quarter. It turned out that the market fell by 10%.

In total, 41.7 million smartphones were sold in Europe during the reporting period compared to 46.4 million a year earlier. Basically, the market sank due to the huge drop in sales in Russia and Ukraine.

The market leader remains Samsung, which sold 14.6 million smartphones, down 9% and occupying 35% of the market. Apple returned to second place with 8.9 million smartphone sales. On the one hand, Apple managed to regain the second place thanks to the increase of sales by 1%. which is an excellent result against the background of a market that sank by 10%. On the other hand, Xiaomi, which was in third place, recorded a decline in sales by 22%.

The top five also included Realme and Oppo, with the former managing to increase its sales by 177%. It is true that it still sold 2.1 million against Xiaomi’s 8.2 million, so the company is still a long way from third place. Overall, Samsung, Apple and Xiaomi together accounted for 76% of the market.
