Oppo is preparing to launch the Oppo Reno 8 series in the Chinese market. After many leaks, the new smartphones are finally going to come with significant upgrades. The Oppo Reno 8 series will have a brand new design (if you only look at Reno smartphones, of course). After many generations with the same “DNA”, the Reno 8 series will bring a fancy look that resembles some OnePlus smartphones from the last era. The new devices will also serve as the first commercially available Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 smartphones. This new Qualcomm processor will be unveiled on May 20, just days before the release of the Reno 8 series. Today, the upcoming smartphones – Reno 8 , Reno 8 SE and Reno 8 Pro – had some of the Standards detailed.
For those who do not know, the Reno 8 series will become official in China on May 23. Prior to its release, the Wow technology tipster shared some new details via its Weibo controller. The tipster Digital Chat Station, also made its usual contribution to the intensification of the advertising campaign for the upcoming smartphone series. These will also be available in India’s global markets a few weeks or months after their domestic release.
Assumed Oppo Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro specifications
The leaked user shared details about two of the upcoming Oppo Reno 8 series smartphones. To be more precise, the leak revolves around the Oppo Reno 8 and the Reno 8 Pro. According to Digital Chat Station, the Reno 8 Pro will bring the brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. In addition, it will be accompanied by NPU MariSilicon X to enhance the capabilities of the camera. We expect variants with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage. The Oppo Reno 8 Pro will feature a 6.62-inch Full HD + OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It weighs 188 grams and has a total thickness of only 7.57 mm. It can also carry an X-axis linear motor and NFC support, the design will be quite similar to the OnePlus 10 series.
The Reno 8, on the other hand, is more modest. The device has AMOLED Full HD + 6.43 inches with a refresh rate of “just” 90 Hz. Under the hood, the device will carry the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC, which is a customized version of last year 1200. The device will be even more elegant with a weight of only 179 grams and only 7.67 mm thick.
In terms of optics, both devices will have at least a 50 MP main camera and a 32 MP selfie snapper. Both devices will carry the same 4,500 mAh battery with 80 W fast charge support. We also know that there is an Oppo Reno 8 SE that comes with these devices. In addition, there are rumors of an Oppo Reno 8 Pro +. This variant may be released later in the year.
