Vivo is getting ready to introduce the Vivo S15 and Vivo S15 Pro very soon. The duo of smartphones will reach the Chinese market to succeed the Vivo S12 series very soon. It is worth noting that the company has already started the series with the release of the Vivo S15e. It is worth noting that the Vivo S15 and S15 Pro have already been certified by Chinese regulators TENAA and 3C. The devices are available with model number V2199 and V2203A. The Vivo S15 has just been updated to TENAA registration with full specifications. Unfortunately, the images are not yet available, but we can already wonder what the Vivo S15e-based device will look like.
Vivo S15 Specifications
According to the listing, Vivo does not play any games with this device. The Vivo S15 will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. For those who do not know, this 7 nm processor can still offer top performance thanks to 1 ARM Cortex-A77 cores clocked up to 3.2 GHz, 3 ARM Cortex-A77 cores clocked up to 2.42 GHz and 4 x ARM COrtex – A55 cores clocked up to 1.8 GHz. This platform has an Adreno 650 GPU that can easily handle all the demanding games in the Google Play Store. The processor is much better than the Exynos 1080 SoC found on the Vivo S15e. The phone will have up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. We do not think it will have a micro SD card slot.
The Vivo S15 will have more premium aspects, such as a 6.62-inch AMOLED screen. The panel will have Full HD + resolution with approximately 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. It is worth noting that the phone will have a single 16 MP camera sensor. So we see a downgrade compared to the Vivo S12. This device has a dual camera device on the front, which includes an ultrawide unit. For this, the device has the usual notch with eyebrows at the top. Since the Vivo S15 has a single 16 MP, we assume it will have a conventional drill hole or a water drop notch. Moving to the back, the main camera section of the phone will carry three snappers. There is a 64 MP main shooter, an 8 MP wide angle sensor and a 2 MP depth or macro sensor.
It is worth noting that the battery is reported as 2,290 mAh. This is not an iPhone, so we assume it is a dual cell design with a total capacity of 4,580 mAh. Vivo will most likely use the standard 4,600 mAh or 4,700 mAh capacity for marketing purposes. The 3C list also confirms the fast 80 W charging, which was the new charging standard for BBK Group smartphones.
There is no information yet on the exact release date, but we expect it to be done before the end of May. The Vivo S15 series may be available in other markets, although Vivo may rename them the Vivo V series.
