Transferring WhatsApp messages from Android to iOS has become much easier

If it has been possible for several months to easily transfer your WhatsApp conversations from iOS to Android, performing the operation in the opposite direction is more complicated. But rest assured, this will no longer be the case.

Indeed, WhatsApp will finally make the process of changing WhatsApp messages and chat history from Android to iOS easier. The feature was announced by Mark Zuckerberg himself, The CEO of Meta (the parent company of the popular messenger) in a Facebook post this Monday, June 13, 2022. Note that this feature is currently available in its beta version.

But how does it work? WhatsApp has partnered with Apple to use the Move to iOS app to simplify the feature. This app can transfer contacts, message history, photos, videos, email accounts and calendar entries from your Android device to your iPhone, among other things.

It also lets you easily download all your apps to their iOS version. as the icons of the applications available in the App Store appear directly on the home screen of your iPhone. Just click on it to start the installation.

And from this Tuesday, June 14, WhatsApp will start activating the integration of Move to iOS. In other words, when you use the app to transfer all your data from your Android smartphone to iPhone. WhatsApp will appear as an available data source. This will transfer all data (messages, chat history, etc.) to your iPhone.

Then simply download the WhatsApp app to your brand new iPhone (or reset it) and log in to your account using the same phone number used on Android to validate the transfer.

Note that to proceed with the operation, you will need to use an Android 5.0 smartphone at least. as well as an iPhone with iOS 15.5. Also, if you already have iOS WhatsApp chat history, it will be automatically replaced by your Android device data.
